Certificate III in Aged Care (CHC30212)

Time to make a positive career change? Do you have the personality to care and support those in need? Choose a certificate in Aged Care and learn, with theory and hands-on work placement, how to give care with confidence. This qualification is nationally recognised and a minimum entry requirement for the Aged Care sector. This course is also a great precursor to a Certificate IV in Aged Care or Certificate IV in Disability.

  • Look into and complete any extra online learning opportunities and attend workshops to increase skills and knowledge eg. Hand washing
  • Get your resume together ASAP, listing all relevant qualifications & experiences
  • Cold call facilities with resume when finished placement as this shows initiative and there are always plenty of jobs that are not advertised
  • Be presentable, polite and show initiative when you approach or contact a facility
  • Sign up with an agency which will give you multiple job opportunities and experiences

Completing your Certificate III in Aged Care can open career opportunities to become:

  • Aged Care Support Worker
  • Community Support Worker
  • Home Care Assistant

This certificate can also be an alternative pathway to get into nursing.
